NASCAR Fantasy Live Nominated For Best Television Project of 2016
January 9, 2017 – NASCAR has been recognized as a finalist for Best Television Project of the Year by The National Fantasy Trade Association, the leading professional body in fantasy sports.
The project, a series of personalized video reports produced for players on NASCAR’s Fantasy Live game platform, is powered by DirectShot.
Starting in September 2016, NASCAR’s fantasy players began receiving weekly personalized reports that include scores, race results, league standings and other information unique to each individual fantasy team, as well as video highlights from the week’s race. This is the first-ever example of personalized video content to be delivered in the fast-growing fantasy sports industry.
In their submission to FSTA, NASCAR wrote “The product combines innovative digital technology with compelling story-telling to create a brand new form of engagement for fantasy players. It has also struck an immediate chord with NASCAR fans.
By personalizing video content and providing it on-demand to any device, NASCAR has created a product that enlarges and extends the fantasy sports experience beyond the game itself.”
