DirectShot Joins Sportradar’s “Acceleradar” Program

New Initiative Is Aimed at Fueling Startups and Stimulating Innovation By Providing Access to Big Data

Annapolis, MD February 21 – DirectShot, a new company at the forefront of automated, data-driven video production, announced today that it has joined Sportradar’s “Acceleradar” initiative, an effort aimed at developing new and innovative businesses in the fast-growing field of sports data and analytics.

DirectShot is a new venture that has developed a proprietary method for creating original video reports from structured data. The company’s automated process analyzes data, and then employs a cloud-based system that composes original scripts, creates narration, audio and graphic elements, and outputs a fully produced video that can be delivered on any screen.

Recently, DirectShot worked with NASCAR on a groundbreaking project to produce personalized videos for NASCAR’s fantasy sports participants, drawing on data contained within NASCAR’s game platform. It is the first-ever deployment of personalized video technology in the fantasy sports industry, and was nominated as Best Video Project of the Year at the Fantasy Sports Trade Association’s 2017 Winter Conference.
